This is a delightful book, with an interesting, fun story and, most importantly, a valuable tool for children (and adults) when life is getting too much. My daughters (6 and 9) love it and we've used the breathing technique a few times already - it really does work. Well done to both author and illustrator, beautifully done.

This book is a must have for children. Both the pictures and story are really lovely and a refreshing change. It's great that a book focuses on children becoming more mindful. Definitely recommend

As a KS1 teacher and a mum to a somewhat anxious child, I love books that help children to explore and manage their emotions. The release of Breathe with Bruce couldn’t have come at a better time - in a year full of twists and turns, anxiousness and uncertainty, and rollercoaster of emotions, this book has been a godsend in both my classroom and my house. The beautifully illustrated pictures hooked the children in right from the start and the simplicity of the message helped all, including those who need it the most, to remember the techniques. In our classroom we now refer to it as Brucey breathing. Coming back after almost 6 months of no school for some of the children was no easy task but Breathe with Bruce has helped them (and the adults) transition into the COVID-friendly and sometimes rather hectic routine we now face on a daily basis. At home we use the book as part of our chill time after busy days. We love reading it regularly with the intent that the breathing practise when we’re calm will help it become second nature so that breathing when we’re angry, upset, frustrated etc will become the norm too. I cannot recommend this book highly enough and I’m excited to see what is released in the future.

A beautifully written and illustrated, must have book for young children to learn coping techniques for when they are feeling anxious or want to help others who are. So relevant at this time, with COVID disrupting lives so significantly. I'm using the techniques too!
